Summer Bowins returns to Metro this season as the head coach for 14 North. Summer has had 2 strong seasons at the 14s level, taking Gold 2 years in a row at Irish Rumble, Gold at JVA St James in 2021, and Gold at both JVA Charm City and Capitol Hill Classic Club division in 2022. Summer has also served as the head coach of Metro's 15 North and 13 North teams during the 2017 and 2018 seasons respectively, as well as, the assistant coach for Metro's 18 North for 3 seasons. In addition, Summer has experience coaching at the high school level as the head varsity coach at Walkersville for 2 seasons and is currently in her 3rd season as head JV coach at Urbana. During her high school career at Governor Thomas Johnson, Summer was the varsity starting libero for 3 years. She also was the starting libero for Metro North 15s and 18s, Potomac Elite 16s, as well as starting libero for Frederick Community College.
