Sarah Katz is entering her fifth season with Metro VBC, most recently working with the 17 Travel and 15 Travel teams, who each won their division in the Chesapeake Regional Championship. During her time as Head Coach with 15 Travel in 2019, the team also earned an Open division bid to the USAV National Championships, and finished the season with 7 gold medals out of the 11 tournaments they competed in. 
Katz also coaches at American University as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. This is her 9th year with the program, as this is her 5th year of coaching and she spent 4 years playing under Head Coach, Barry Goldberg. Katz completed her undergraduate and graduate degree in Health Promotion Management at American, where she played as an OH for the Division I volleyball team. 
Originally from Louisville, KY, Katz started playing club volleyball at eight years old. Growing up, she played for Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA). She currently lives in D.C. with her husband, Yilret.
