2022 Assist. Coach

Heather Owens- 14 South PW Assistant Coach 2022

“I love to teach the game. To see players’ eyes light up with the same passion I have for the game is why I coach. I look forward to seeing the growth of our players over the season.”

Heather is beginning her first season with Metro Volleyball Club. She is the Freshman Head Coach at Osbourn High School and Assistant Coach to both the Junior Varsity and Varsity. Heather began her career in coaching at the Manassas Boy’s and Girl’s Club where she coached for 6 seasons. She has assisted in many volleyball clinics in the Northern Virginia area.

Heather started playing volleyball in the 8th grade. She was an outside hitter, all-around player for her team. She became captain for her team during her Junior and Senior year. Heather attended The University of Virginia’s College at Wise where she majored in Administration of Justice with a minor in Psychology. While balancing both school and work she still managed to find time to continue to play for her school’s rec team. Heather earned her Master’s degree from Marymount University in Forensic and Legal Psychology.

Heather currently works for the USMS as a contractor. In her free time, Heather loves to hike, rock climb, and practicing yoga.
