"I am excited for this new club season! The 18 East continues to improve each season!"

Coach Z is entering her eightth year with Metro Volleyball Club where she has coached the 12s, 16s, and 18s age groups in the South region and 18s in the East region. She has held several high school volleyball coaching positions such as Dover High School JV Head coach in 2009, Falls Church High School Freshman Head coach in 2014, Falls Church High School Varsity Assistant coach from 2015 - 2016, and Falls Church High School JV Assistant coach in 2017. Coach Z has previously coached at a local DII University in Maryland.

Coach Z earned her BA in Advertising and MS in Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently working for the Federal Government as a Financial Management Specialist in D.C.

Alicia Eldredge- 18 East Assistant Coach 2024

"I am very excited to work with the 18s/17s team and coach elite volleyball."

Alicia is entering her third season coaching with Metro, where she has coached 15s, 16s, and now 18s. She played five seasons of collegiate Division 2 volleyball at Edinboro University from 2018-2022 as a starting setter for her team. She helped lead her team to the NCAA Division 2 Tournament in 2021, and was awarded to First-Team All Conference and All-District Honorable mention in 2022. At Edinboro, Alicia earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise Science, along with minors in Athletic Coaching, Personal Training, and Biology. Before playing collegiately, Coach Alicia played three seasons for Metro 16, 17, and 18 Travel from 2016-2018.

Coach Alicia is currently attending school at University of Maryland, Baltimore - School of Medicine to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her hobbies include playing adult volleyball tournaments and working out at the gym.

Uchenna is entering her seventh year with Metro as the 16s East Head Coach. Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Uchenna comes to Metro VBC with almost 23 years of volleyball experience, culminating in 4 years as a middle hitter at Marshall University. At Marshall, she was a part of two Conference USA championship teams and selected All C-USA second team member in 2006. Uchenna began coaching while still a player at Marshall, coaching ages 15-18 with River Cities Volleyball Club from 2004-2007 and the Spring Valley Cobras in 2009. 

In addition to her personal experience and love of the game, Uchenna brings extensive experience in athletics, strength and conditioning, and injury prevention. Uchenna moved to the DMV area in 2009 to pursue her physical therapy degree (DPT) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She currently works as a doctor of physical therapy in Silver Spring, Maryland and provides player performance and skill development training through her company, VBFiT.  She also holds a degree in athletic training.

Shadae is super excited about her second year coaching at Metro. Shadae is from Columbia, SC and completed her undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University. Shadae started playing volleyball in the 6th grade, since then she has always had a passion to play the sport and now has the same passion and commitment as a coach! She began her coaching career in NC as Head coach for 18's and assistant coach for 13's. She then moved to Seattle, WA and was a head coach for 15's National l and assistant coach for 13's National. Shadae also worked as a Nike volleyball instructor for the Nike volleyball camps at the University of Washington. During her first year of coaching school volleyball of the 2023 season Shadae was the Head coach for JV volleyball at Glenelg Country School and Assistant coach for the Varsity team, and assisted with leading the Varsity team to it's first championship title win in school history! Shadae is excited to continue to coach and help players understand and master the fundamental skills of volleyball that will help them on and off the court! Currently Shadae is a full-time MBA student at the University of Maryland, pursing her MBA with a focus in Supply Chain Management and volunteer assistance coach for Glenelg Country School Varsity Volleyball team.

"I am super excited to be working with a new age group this season and refining my coaching style to fit this new group of young ladies."

Ravyn is excited to be entering her 6th year with Metro. She was previously the head coach for 16 East and 14 East, but this year she will be leading our 15 East team! Ravyn completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine at Hampton University in December 2018, where she played as an OH for the Division I volleyball team. She is currently studying for her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University. She began her coaching career as the head coach for Coastal Hampton Roads VBC 16 State team in 2017. She was the Head Coach of both the Boys’ Varsity and Girls’ Varsity Volleyball teams at Phoebus High School in Hampton, VA. From 2019 to 2021 she served as both Head JV Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at Elizabeth Seton High School.

"I am excited join back to my club in a different role, and to broaden my coaching expertise. I love teaching athletes the sport I have come to love."

Rayah is excited to join the East coaching staff this year.  Rayah began playing volleyball at age 11.  In her Junior career, she competed as a Metro athlete for 8 years as well as for her high school team, where she helped lead the Urbana Hawks all the way to state finals!  She went on after high school to attended Nyack College/Alliance University, where she was a student athlete, as an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist. She transferred to Bowie State for her junior year and is currently playing as an outside hitter.

Coach Jazz joins Metro as the 14 Head coach.

She  played Division 1 collegiate volleyball as a Middle blocker for North Carolina Central University and has over 7+ years of ahead coaching experience at the high school & club level. Coach Jazz recently coached at the University of Maryland Camp over the summer.

Jazz is a personal trainer and enjoys helping athletes reach their goals.

Kilana is entering her 3rd year coaching with Metro, where she has coached with 17/18E regional team and now with 14E!

Kilana played all four years of college starting as an outside hitter and ending as a libero. Throughout her collegiate career, she was invited to play in Costa Rica and play their local club team, regional team, and national team.

Kilana began coaching shortly after her college career ended at Bowie State University. She volunteered in coaching to ensure she learned the skills of becoming a better coach which led her into joining Metro in 2020.

Kilana graduated with her Bachelor's in Science in Biology in 2018 and has background in working in the physical training room where she would assist in helping injured athletes. Kilana is in the process of getting her ASBN and continuing to get her Master's in Nursing to becoming a Nurse Anesthetist.​​​​​​​

"I am so excited to get the season started, so we can have fun and grow as athletes!"

Kristen recently graduated from Southern Methodist University where she was working on her master's in Business Management and playing her fifth year of D1 volleyball. During her time at SMU, she had an injury where she medically retired and took on a student coaching role. Prior to her time at SMU, she played four years at the University of Virginia where she was a captain and Libero.

Coach Kyznia is entering her first year of coaching. She is a former Metro athlete, where she played for Metro South Prince William 18s team. She was previously a part of the Bowie State University Volleyball team, and is currently in school pursing a degree in Marketing.


Trevor Reaves - 12 East Head Coach - 2024

Coach Trevor is in his fifth season as a coach and with Metro. He is returning for his third year as the Head Coach of 12 East. Previously, he served as the 14 South Fairfax Assistant Coach & 15 East Assistant Coach. He has played volleyball competitively for 12 years. Coach Trevor is excited to continue helping young players develop the proper foundation to excel at the game of volleyball. He competes in a local DC Volleyball League and plays in nationally sanctioned tournaments across the country, where he has earned top 3 team finishes and tournament all-star selections.

Trevor earned his B.A. in Sociology & Criminal Justice and A.A. in Counseling Education from The University of Florida. He received his J.D. at Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.​​​​​​​

Jaz Joiner - 12 East Assistant Coach - 2024

"I am ecstatic about the upcoming season as we have seen tremendous growth in each player by the end of each season."

Coach Jaz is entering her  third year as the assistant for 12 East but her fifth year of coaching experience.

She is a former Metro athlete, starting at 13/14 E and played all the way up to 18s.  She then continued on to play for her college club team. She is currently a college student at the University of Maryland College Park as well as a certified lash technician.
